Dancehall artiste Food Kartel confirmed dead

It is reported that dancehall artiste Food Kartel whose real name is Courtney Broughton died on Wednesday night, he suffered a stroke a few days prior to his passing.

Food Kartel, who rose to fame in the year 2010 was well known for his comedic ability to recreate popular dancehall hits into catchy lyrics based on food, some of his classics include “Kitchen Hero,” “Dumpling Tight” and “Cook It Inna.”

The comedic artiste was accused of carnal abuse in 2011 which tainted his career, however, the case was later thrown out. The deejay is survived by nine children.
