Damion Crawford has reacted to the sentencing of Ninjaman.
The Former Member of Parliament for East Rural St Andrew, Senator expressed great “shock” and an overwhelming feeling of “sadness” following revelations that the Dancehall veteran was sentenced life in prison in the Home Circuit Court on Monday.

According to Crawford, he did expect the deejay to receive a heavy sentence due to the fact the system may feel pressured to set an example with rising levels of crime and violence in society, however, he remains shocked as the deejay is a personal friend.
On Monday the 51-year-old deejay was sentenced to life in prison for murder and 20 years for shooting with intent. He will have to serve a minimum of 25 years before being eligible for parole.
