Corporate Jamaica backs Alkaline despite recent detention

International Dancehall recording artiste Alkaline has received a timely backing from corporate giant Red Stripe following his five day detention in relation to a murder investigation.

The company has declared its backing for the under fire deejay after refusing to pull the plug on their current advertising campaign for the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL), which utilizes his vastly popular “Champion Boy” hit song.

According to Red Stripe, Alkaline was not charged with any crime and remains innocent until proven guilty, therefore they see no reason to end their current advertisement campaign with the artiste.

Alkaline’s “Champion Boy” was selected and altered to become the theme song for the 2016-2017 RSPL football season.
