Cops in Alkaline “After All” Video Facing Internal Investigations

Cops who appeared in Alkaline’s “After All” music video have also found themselves in hot water.

Internal investigations have been launched against several police officers who appeared in Alkaline’s controversial “After All” music video, which has been heavily scrutinized in the last few weeks.

Cops were left outraged following the release of the deejay’s music video, which depicted gun touting antics and the the unauthorized appearance of several police personnel and vehicles.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Clifford Blake, several cops have now been taken off front line duty and are pending internal investigations to determine their involvement in the controversially viewed Dancehall music video.

The DCP revealed that it is mandatory policy for all police personnel to seek official permission to use government materials, in this case their uniforms and the marked cars seen in the video, and to his knowledge none was granted for this particular instance.

It remains unclear of what the punishment could be for the officers involved, however the DCP did say that any disciplinary measures would ultimately be decided by the commissioner of police.

Earlier this week Alkaline’s video director Jay Will issued a formal apology to the Jamaica Constabulary Force earlier, following intense backlash stemming from the violent images portrayed in the video.
