Clarendon Street To Be Renamed In Honour Of Davina Bennett

Miss Universe Jamaica 2017 Davina Bennett is set to be honoured, as the Clarendon Municipal Corporation council is set to rename a street in Mitchell Town in recognition of her exploits at the competition.

Middle Street in Mitchell Town, Clarendon is set to be renamed in honour of Bennett following her inspiring second runner-up finish at the 2017 staging of the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Las Vegas last month.

Jamaicans Says Davina Bennett Robbed Of Miss Universe Title

The honorary gesture was recently announced by Minister of Local Government and Community Development Desmond McKenzie during the Clarendon Municipal Corporation’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Carolling Ceremony.

Bennett was also presented with the key to the township of May Pen by the Municipal Corporation for what they described as an inspirational achievement showcasing the cultural diversity of Jamaica to the world.
