Chronixx made rounds on social media just moments before the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.

The outspoken recording artist blasted the award show for once again not televising the Reggae category. Chronixx along with Damian Marley, Morgan Heritage, J Boog and Common Kings were nominated for the ‘Best Reggae Album’ award.

Just moments before the live show aired on CBS, Chronixx uploaded a photo of incarcerated Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel and wrote, “When mi fren dem realize seh the [Recording Academy] doesn’t televise the reggae category for the Grammys ??…..they did say the revolution will not be televised.”

Damian Marley later won the category for his fourth solo album ‘Stony Hill’ forcing the ‘Likes’ singer to delete his post.

However Chronixx has since come under fire from Reggae fans after he failed to send a public congratulatory to Jr Gong unlike Morgan Heritage who wrote, “We must say big congrats to our brother [Damian Marley]! This year was amazing for Reggae let’s make next year even greater! BLESS UP to the first family of Reggae! [Recording Academy],” on Instagram.

“Mi realize say the one Chronixx always quick to bash people but never fi big dem up,” one user wrote, while another added, “Suh mi know seh dem rasta yah fake eno, imagine the Grammy come a yawd and the man not even tell Marley congrats.”

“This is what’s wrong with Jamaica people always badmind dem own, Chronixx need fi big up the Gong Zilla cause mi a pree him,” another user wrote.
