Bronx Rapper Cardi B brought tears to Dancehall artist Spice’s eyes on Friday at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards.
After winning three awards for Single Of the Year, Best New Hip Hop Artist and Hustler of the Year, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper had a conversation with the “Needle Eye” deejay in which Cardi shared that she’s inspired by Spice and a big fan of her music.
“You don’t really understand, like you really inspire me,” the 24-year-old told Spice. “I use to wear a Cardi chain just like you, i go way back i’m not like these new ones,” Cardi added before starting to rap a line from one of Spice’s throwback singles “Rude Boy Love”.

On Saturday Spice shared the video and had this to say;
“Ran into [Cardi B] after she won 3 awards and tear down BET stage and she brought tears to my eyes last night,” Spice wrote. “Here I am saying that I’m so proud of her, how much I admire her journey and that she inspires me so much and here she is saying I’m her inspiration and she’s my biggest fan.”
“Now listen to me cause this is so deep y’all don’t even understand. Most of you don’t even know this song that she’s talking about “Rude boy love” I didn’t even remember this song my dam self so I know she’s not bluffing cause this song go wayyyyyy back.”
“I’m PROUD of you [Cardi B] i got mad love for you ? F**ka dem [you’re] winning for all of us “I dont dance now i make money moves”.
