Cardi B is definitely on the Shenseea wave.
The American rapper made sure to follow the fast-rising Dancehall singjay on Instagram Saturday. The move comes as Shenseea continues to dominate the airwaves with her new international collaboration “Blessed” with features rapper Tyga.
Cardi B showing ShenYeng look instantly sparked collaboration requests from loyal Dancehall fans given the “Please Me” rapper’s close relationship with producer Rvssian.
“Omg Cardi B started following Shenseea on IG! i can’t wait for my two favs to hop on a track together,” one fan wrote. “Damn Shen really making moves and Cardi is seeing it Rvssian please work your magic,” another one said in the comments.
This is arguably the best week in Shenseea’s music career. Earlier this week Shenseea, whose given name is Chinsea Lee, created history becoming the first Jamaican Dancehall act signed with American label Interscope Records.
Interscope linked up with producer Rvssian’s Rich Immigrants imprint for the deal which spawned “Blessed.”
“Interscope always strives to work with artistes that can move culture on a global scale. Shenseea is already doing that,” Interscope’s EVP Joie Manda reportedly said, adding “She represents Jamaica in a loud and truly authentic voice. We couldn’t be any more pleased to partner with her and Rvssian. Many artistes go to Jamaica to learn culture, Shenseea teaches it.”
