Buju Banton Wins Best Reggae Act Award At 2020 Mobo Awards

Congratulations to Buju Banton on winning Best Reggae Act at the 2020 Mobo Awards held on Wednesday (December 9).

The MOBO Awards made its grand return after a 3 year hiatus, this year’s show went virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I thank the @moboawards committee, but most of all I thank everyone who has supported me and continues to support me. Let’s continue to allow music to do its job as the great healer, teacher, comforter and above all the restorative force that propels human beings to higher heights🤲🏿,” Banton wrote online.

Buju Banton won the Best Reggae Act category over Popcaan, Koffee, Lila Iké, and Protoje.

Shenseea, Koffee and Popcaan were also nominated in the “Best International Act” category, which was won by Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
