Buju Banton ‘Steppa’ music video premiered in New York Times Square over the weekend.

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company added Buju Banton to its jam-packed roster last week.

On Friday Roc Nation announced the partnership with the Reggae and Dancehall king, whose comeback concert held earlier this year in his native Jamaica was one of the country’s largest shows. More than 30,000 people attended the concert.

Banton, 46, celebrated the new deal with Friday’s music video release for his song “Steppa.”

The 2019 Gargamel Music produced track speaks about a leader called “Steppa.” Buju differentiates Steppa from regular shottas by his ethics and morals.

“Weh mi say steppa, steppa a nuh petty thief steppa a nuh taker,” Buju deejays. Man nah step fi the worst man ago step for the betta / Step inna Great Britain step inna merry macka / Two degrees cold man a step when it hotta.”

This is the first official music video by Buju Banton since being released from prison in December 2018.
