Incarcerated Reggae superstar Buju Banton has called for the return of retired Senior Superintendent of Police Reneto Adams to the police force in order to battle Jamaica’s growing crime problem.
The Jamaican superstar who will be released from Federal prison in the United States on December 8 made the declaration in a new single titled “Send Back Adams,” which is produced by Crushroad Music imprint.
In the track, the deejay chants “Send back Adams on the front line, and den yuh woulda see how much gun find.”

The deejay uses the song to point out several of the issues contributing to Jamaica’s growing crime problems including political tribalism, and limited job opportunities for youths. Buju also used the song to blast fellow entertainers who continue to facilitate crime by supplying guns to criminals.
The deejay like many other Jamaicans has called for the return of Adams, who has been hailed as a crime-fighting hero known for his heavy-handed approach which drove fear into the heart of criminals.
Adams served over 30 years in the Jamaica Constabulary Force before retiring in 2008 and recently failed in his bid to be appointed as police commissioner.
