Buju Banton Addresses The State Of Jamaica In New Song “Country For Sale”

Buju Banton made good on his promise and dropped new music.

The Grammy-winning Reggae star rolled out “Country For Sale” on Friday, May 10. The conscious single serves as Banton’s first solo track since his release from prison.

Country For Sale follows his “False Pretense” collaboration with sons Markus Myrie and Jahazeil Myrie which was released back in March.

Country For Sale’s cover art shows a photo of Jamaica with a sign bearing the single’s name. “Dem sell off everything,” Banton wrote via his Instagram story on Thursday.

The single will tackles the current state of Jamaica and the government selling off our assets to other countries.

Country For Sale is now available for streaming on all digital media platforms.
