Bounty Killer has thrown his support behind recent calls for the entertainment industry to be reopened.

The Dancehall veteran has backed Dream Entertainment Managing Director Scott Dunn’s recent calls to the government to either reopen the entertainment industry, or provide its stakeholders with a relief package.

In an open letter, Dunn made a plea to the Jamaican government highlighting the plight of the entertainment industry. He argued that entertainment industry had suffered in silence for months at the hands of the Government.

On Sunday Bounty Killer took to Instagram to post an excerpt of the letter while urging fans to read it.

“Entertainment is deemed as non-essential so recreation isn’t essential to the human mind and body our livelihood not essential to our lives,” Bounty said sarcastically, adding: “check out what Scott has to say Thank You: Talk Truth Nuh Mon.”

The post attracted hundreds of reactions from fans, gave it their stamp of approval in the comments.

Dancehall stars such as Spragga Benz also shared their input. “Dat we fi a do and stop tek dem lies laying down like rocks,” he declared.

Earlier this week Dunn’s open letter sparked a debate on whether the entertainment industry should be reopened. Although many were in favor, there were those who argue that it was a bad idea.

“Yall have to be creative man, now is the time to dig deep and adapt to the situation at hand and evolve and become great… #life over death, #life over money,” one fan commented.
