Popcaan is the new poster child for Dancehall music according to Bounty Killer.
Last year the veteran recording artiste made the declaration that the Unruly boss was the new face of Dancehall and he is now doubling down on his statement.
Over the weekend, Bounty Killer uploaded a video of Popcaan and congratulated him on his recent Billboard plagues.
“Congratulations work a put in salute yute last year l made a post saying Popcaan was dancehall new face some ppl disagreed,” the War Lord wrote.
Popcaan received the plagues for his latest projects, FIXTAPE and Vanquish.
Vanquish released in December 19 2019, it debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. While FIXTAPE was released on 7 August this year via OVO Sound and Warner Records, also went to number 2 on that chart, and it debuted at number 94 Billboard 200 chart.
Popcaan has been dominating charts and securing an arsenal of international collaborations since the start of the year, a move Bounty Killer believes is a great look for the Dancehall industry on the global front.
