Bounty Killer Recognized For Work In Music Industry

Bounty Killer is in a celebratory mood as the veteran deejay was recently recognized for his contributions towards the Dancehall industry by the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) at its Honour Awards in Kingston last Sunday.

The “Warlord” was given an honorary award for his numerous contributions to the industry over the years, specifically in helping to groom and mentor several other superstars to mainstream success.

According to the veteran deejay, the award is actually more important to him than a Grammy because unlike its international counterpart this award committee has actually seen his work first hand, and would be better equipped to determine if he is indeed worthy of its accolades.

Bounty Killer Blasts New Set Of Dancehall Artistes

JaRIA vice-chairman, Junior Lincoln, says the deejay is fully deserving of the award as he has helped to introduce the world to several of the genre’s biggest talents and went on to mentor them to mastering their craft.

Over the years Bounty Killer has contributed significantly to the careers of several big-name superstars such as; Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Busy Signal, Aidonia, Elephant Man, and Kalado just to name a few.
