One of Bob Marley’s guitars has been ranked as the fifth most expensive guitar on earth.

Bob Marley’s Washburn 22- Series Hawk guitar has been ranked as the fifth most expensive guitar currently.

The guitar, which was owned by the iconic Reggae superstar is now valued at US$1.2 million.

The guitar is one of seven owned by Marley and was classified as a national asset by the Jamaican government.

According to scholars, the 22 fret double-cutaway Washburn guitar was one of the singer’s favorites.

The musical instrument was declared a national treasure by the government following Marley’s untimely death in 1981.

Bob also owned a 1070s Fender Stratocaster and a Yamaha SG1000. He prominently used both during The Wailers’ last tour in 1979.

The rankings were posted by the self-improvement website Wealthy Gorilla. Coming in at number one was the Fender Stratocaster, which was owned by singer and songwriter Bryan Adams and sold for US$2.7 million at a 2015 auction.
