Birdman Says Lil Wayne Is in Possession of “Tha Carter V” Album

Birdman says he is not to be blamed for Lil Wayne’s retirement rant given that the rapper is in possession of his final album “Tha Carter V.”

The Cash Money CEO and Weezy have been at odds for months now over contractual issues, the New Orleans rapper is suing Birdman for $51 million dollars in unpaid royalties for his album as well as money from the record sales of his Young Money artistes – Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.

Last week Wayne announced via twitter that he had been defeated and was retiring from the rap game, he received a tremendous amount of support from the hip hop community and even from Young Thug who was allegedly involve in a shooting targeting the rapper’s tour bus.

During an interview on Wednesday, Weezy was determined that he and Birdman would never work together again, he also stated previously that Cash Money is holding his final album as a means of keeping him at the label. TMZ reported that according to Birdman that is utter BS since Wayne is actually in possession of the physical album therefore the label is unable to release the project.
