Beyonce Tops “Highest-Paid Women In Music” 2017 List

Beyonce is the highest paid woman in music for 2017, according to Forbes Magazine’s annual list.

The Queen Bey reportedly earned US $105 million (before taxes) thanks to the release of her ‘Lemonade,’ album and Formation World Tour which grossed a quarter of a billion dollars.

Securing the second spot is British singer and songwriter Adele with US $69 million, “Adele’s music appeals to listeners of all ages all over the world with her undeniably powerful, emotional vocal interpretations paired with timeless songwriting and production,” says multiplatinum singer-songwriter Skylar Grey. “No matter what genre someone generally subscribes to, it’s hard to find a music lover who doesn’t appreciate what she does.”

Taylor Swift is at number three with US $44 million, a dip in profits since the end of her ‘1989’ tour. However, her spot on the list is expected to rise, considering her new alum ‘Reputation’ has already been dubbed the best-selling album of 2017.

Celine Dion came in fourth with US $42 million and Jennifer Lopez rounded out the top five with US $38 million.
