Azealia Banks has hit back at critics of her bleaching her skin.
The controversial rapper recently admitted to lighting her skin tone after being called out by fans on social media who spotted the change.
But instead of denying the practice the very vocal rapper went on to defended herself in a lengthy Facebook post saying the practice is no different from the numerous cosmetic alterations millions of people do to alter their appearance.
According to Azealia skin bleaching doesn’t make her any less of a black person, nor does it make her any less of an artiste, pointing out that many of her favorite artiste have lightened their skin including Diana Ross.
She argued that getting a nose job or wearing hair weave is the same thing, stating that its simply a personal preference of style and shouldn’t be much of a deal.
