Former 100-metre record holder and reigning sub-10 second kingpin, Asafa Powell has broken his silence on getting married to Canadian model, Alyshia Miller, over the weekend.
Powell uploaded his wedding photo with wife Alyshia on Tuesday via Instagram and wrote, “Had a life changing experience Saturday i’m now a husband husband for real real !!! Hey wifey @miller_alyshia #Godsplan.”
Alyshia reposted the photo on IG and added, “A big thank you to my husband @asafasub10king for giving me my dream wedding & to everyone involved . All my bridesmaids who I hold dear to my heart a big thank you . To my family & friends flying all the way to Jamaica , you’re greatly appreciated ?. 02.16.19 #ThePowells.”
The two tied the knot in a private ceremony on Saturday in Montego Bay, St James in the presence of close friends and family members.
The wedding followed their engagement last year February after Powell proposed, with the move being kept under wraps until Miller shared the hot news later in the year on social media.
“Throwback to date night,” was how she captioned a photo on her Instagram account, using the hashtags “#MySpecialNight, #Engaged and #February”.
