Reggae Singer Anthony Cruz is mourning the death of his 15-year-old daughter, Shanice Smith and his baby mother.
The two were killed by a man identified as 32-year-old Kevin Nelson on Monday at their home in Sunrise, Fort Lauderdale.
Nelson who hails from Montego Bay, St James has prior run ins with law enforcement in South Florida for domestic violence after he assaulted his wife. He is now behind bars after he surrendered to police after a five hour standoff during which he barricaded himself in the home with the bodies.
Since the news broke on Monday night, a devastated Cruz took to social media, “I can’t believe them kill my one and only daughter in Fort Lauderdale,” he wrote.
