Hollywood superstar couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting divorced, the actress’s lawyer confirmed.
According to the court documents, Jolie filed for the divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The couple had been together since 2004 but only got married in August 2014, they have been reportedly separated since September 15.
Jolie is reportedly seeking physical custody of their six children and wants the court to grant visitation rights.
The couple have six children together; Maddox, Pax, Zahara, who are adopted, and biological children Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
Jolie’s lawyers remained tight lipped on what exactly caused the marriage to fail, but disclosed that the “decision was made for the health of the family.”
