Amber Rose Shares Her Views On The ‘Me Too’ Movement

Amber Rose wants it to be clear that the #MeToo movement is for all women, and also wants to remind everyone that it was founded by a black woman, activist Tarana Burke.

The American model and actress shared her views on Sunday night while speaking to TMZ, “It [#MeToo Movement] has my support,” Rose said.

Amber then mentioned that the movement seemed to focus on “rich white women”. “Every woman deserves justice. I just feel like a black woman started it and she just didn’t get the recognition she deserves…Just don’t leave us out,” she added.

Burke began the #MeToo movement back in 2006, but the hashtag saw a huge surge in popularity after the Harvey Weinstein allegations broke back in October.

That hashtag was followed by the #TimesUp movement created by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The whitewashing and inclusivity of the #MeToo movement is something that several celebs and artistse have criticised including Gabrielle Union, Cardi B, and Roxane Gay.
