Alkaline Throws Fresh Jabs At Popcaan In New Track “Monopoly”

Alkaline has taken fresh shots at his rival Popcaan with his latest track “Monopoly.”

Dancehall fans say Alkaline has thrown fresh jabs at his old rival Popcaan in his latest track. In the track, Alkaline speaks about his dominance of the streets while taking aim at his foes.

The track, which is produced by True Loyal Records, is being praised as one of the deejay’s best efforts in recent months. In the verses, the deejay reminds fans just how lyrically potent he is, and why he is considered “the manhimself.”

Alkaline wittingly compares the music industry to a game of “Monopoly,” and of course he is winning.

In the track, the deejay takes several shots at rivals, but fans say there was one specifically aimed at Popcaan. “Watch Netflix one time and now him feel him a El Chapo,” the deejay spits. Fans were quick to point out that Popcaan had a song of the same name declaring himself as “El Chapo.”

Over the years the two Dancehall stars have been involved in a bitter feud. Both stars have exchanged several diss tracks, including popular efforts “Stray Dog” and “Microwave.”

In recent times the feud had seemingly cooled down until Popcaan dissed Alkaline during an exchange with a fan.

“Popcaan surprise the people dem, bring in Alkaline as special guest,” the fan said. “I’m here for all positive vibes for 2020, someone gotta be the bigger one. #OneDancehall One Jamaica.”

Unfortunately, Popcaan wasn’t interested in ending the beef and declared “No fogs allowed.. Stop.”
