Alkaline, Shaneil Muir, Squash, Rygin King and Teejay, respectfully hold the top five spots on YouTube trending chart this week ending October 10, 2020.

Alkaline secured the number spot just moments after the release of his new single ‘Total Murda.’

The gritty single is produced by SartOut and Autobamb Records, and sees the Vendetta deejay showing off his gangster ways to his multiple enemies. The track amassed close to 200,000 views in the first 20 hours following its release on Friday (October 9).

“Start piss up himself wah di raass, bwoii calm / Ya go learn today seh never try fi diss a icon / I never know a Gilbert, I know a Ivan / But a nuh comparison dem shot ya blow high storm,” Alkaline deejays in the second verse of ‘Total Murda’.

Dancehall’s newest female sensation Shaneil Muir who was trending at No.1 all week, is now at the second position with her “Yamabella” visuals.

Shaneil Muir made headlines last week after rumours started circulating that she was pregnant. As they say, no publicity is bad publicity as she racked up 830,000 views for “Yamabella” since September 30.

Yamabella is produced by Papi Don Muziq and Top Braff Entertainment.


The 6ix principal, Squash moves up from the 5th spot last week to no.3 with “POTUS”.

Squash who currently resides in south Florida, plays the leader of the free world as POTUS means President of the United States. The Dancehall banger is featured on the Symbolic Riddim produced by 6ixReal Records and Attomatic Records.

The official music video currently has over 600,000 views.


Monteog Bay-based Dancehall artiste Rygin King’s latest offering ‘Mission’ is the number four trending video in Jamaica.

Produced by Reno Don Musiq and Rygin Trap Records, Mission sees the deejay singing about being shot earlier this year.

Mission starts with the playing of Television Jamaica’s news report of him being shot, unfazed the deejay is quick at the draws as he delivers motivation through music.

“Ah just time / tell dem seh mi seen the signs / Mi live and mi learn inna this life of crime,” Rygin sings. To the culprits that shot and injured him, the artiste sent out a warning, “Tell dem seh we nah dead fi now because wi nuh ready fi dead.”

Rygin King then sings about his “Mission” of getting rich and talking care of his family.

The “Tuff” deejay, real name Matthew Smith was shot and injured on Sunday, June 28 after leaving a funeral in Westmoreland.

Reports are that he was travelling in a convoy in Bethel Town when one of the cars was involved in a collision. While repairs were being done another car drove up and a passenger alighted and peppered the bystanders with bullets, including the deejay.

A woman, 28-year-old, Sashalee Blackwood was shot and killed in the incident, while another recording artiste, Goon, was shot in his foot.

Closing out this week’s top five spot is the UpTop Boss, Teejay with his smash hit ‘From Rags To Riches.’

The track is produced by Billboard chart-topping producer Damage Musiq. Teejays has amassed 1.4 million views since dropping the motivational anthem on September 24 via his TeejayOfficial YouTube channel.
