Alkaline’s latest music video, ‘Cree’ is trending at number one in Jamaica.

The Dancehall entertainer rolled out the visuals on August 20 and is already close to 1 million views.

Alkaline’s ‘Cree’ official music video made headlines shortly after its release when Dancehall fans spotted a Vybz Kartel sneak diss.

The Countree Hype Entertainment produced the track which was originally released on May 23. The track itself is mostly about revenge and retribution much like some of his other tracks. The visuals were produced by KD Visuals and they did well to depict the lyrics of the song, throughout the video.

“War cya bawl cree. Tell craft man seh we full a technique. Mek him feel like seh wi good but then a RIP. Show up a dem nine-night because we heart clean,” sings in the track.

In the visuals, it appears to be the nine-night of “Craft Man” which is a man that the gang took out. The gang decides to unleash terror upon those who decided to attend the wake, because taking out ‘Craft Man’ was not the end of their retribution.

Fans pointed out the silhouetted image of ‘Craft Man’ at the wake, resembles a popular photo Vybz Kartel took in 2011 before he was behind bars. The photo, was used as the cover for an edition of Kartel’s Kingston Story album. “So wait, the silhouette a Kartel🤣🤣🤣 craftsman to rass,” a fan commented.

For the remainder of the video the Vendetta Gang continued to assert their dominance of their enemies.

Some views were not impressed with the crime shown in the video due to the current levels of crime in Jamaica, “Whether you agree or disagree with the video, what is being depicted is happening in real life!” commented one viewer.
