Aidonia Breaks Million Mark Twice & Pulls Record Crowd At Birthday Party

Sitting atop the charts with his monster hits ‘Banga’ and ‘Trigger Work It’ Dancehall superstar Aidonia has been progressing through 2017 with a bang indeed. This as the catchy street anthem ‘Banga’ has amassed over a million plays via online streaming and the official video for ‘Trigger Work It’ also broke the one million mark on Vevo early last week.

Adding to the cadre of accolades is the fact that his birthday celebrations held over the Easter weekend saw a record turn-out, one of the biggest in Ocho Rios in recent times.

Though the numbers are not definitive it’s evident from the outpouring of patrons that the Island Village Beach venue was bursting at the seams with fans who came out in their droves to see one of dancehall’s favourite sons. The event also featured performances from Unruly boss Popcaan and 4th Generation camp members Govana, Tanso, Shokryme, Jayds, Mad Patience among others who whipped the large gathering into a frenzy making way from Aidonia who could do no wrong in the eyes of his adoring fans.

A collaborative effort between 4th Genna Music and Streetz Entertainment the Guinness sponsored event was a major success.

Meanwhile, Aidonia’s is expected to depart the island later this week for assignments in Buffalo, New York and New Jersey. An official video for ‘Banga’ is also afoot.
