A four-year-old girl was chopped in the head on Friday while on her way to school.
The incident occurred shortly after 7:00 am in Charles Town, St Mary. Her attacker is reportedly a man of unsound mind. The toddler has since been admitted to hospital.
Shortly after the incident, the man was attacked by residents of the community however was saved by police officers who intervened. He is now being treated in hospital for his injuries.
