A family is now grieving the loss of their daughter after the 15-year-old girl was shot dead at her home in Seaview Gardens, St. Andrew for allegedly refusing a relationship with a man.
According to reports, Denise Hume was gunned down shortly after 3:00 pm on Thursday afternoon while at home in a section of the Seaview Gardens community known as “Nitty Gritty.”
Some residents have claimed that the Jose Marti High School student was tragically shot in the head by a man from the community after she refused his offers to engage in a relationship.
Hume’s death has reportedly left family members devastated, with several members of her family said to be emotionally distraught. The teen would have been 16-years-old next Wednesday.
Reports indicate that the man suspected of committing the gruesome act is now on the run following the incident.
