Over 11 deaths related to Hurricane Matthew in the Caribbean, 5 in Haiti

Over eleven deaths have been blamed on Hurricane Matthew during it’s current week-long journey across the Caribbean.

According to officials, five persons died in Haiti on Tuesday, while four deaths were recorded in the neighbouring Dominican Republic. Earlier this week deaths were also recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and as far as Colombia.

Matthew is currently a strong tropical cyclone over the Atlantic Ocean which was recently the first Category 5 Atlantic hurricane since Hurricane Felix of 2007.
