A woman who claims to be the person who recorded the now viral footage of Renaldo Reynolds being rescued by Tremayne Brown in Trench Town last Friday wants public recognition for the video footage.
Chrissane Clarke, a 25-year-old teacher employed to the Caribbean Maritime Institute, wants to be credited for the viral video footage, which was vital in spreading the amazing story of little Renaldo’s rescue last weekend.
She claims that if it wasn’t for her recording the ordeal many persons would have no knowledge of the incident, and probably dismissed it as just a story.
Clarke claims she was encouraged by fellow co-workers to establish ownership of the viral footage after seeing several other persons attempt to claim to the content on social media and television.
According to the teacher, she is not seeking any compensation, as she believes the real heroes are actually the persons who rescued the boy but says she should be credited for the footage by persons sharing it on social media.
Renaldo Reynolds was dramatically rescued from the rapid waters of the Trench Town gully after Brown selflessly jumped in to save his life. Brown managed to hang on to the boy until he himself was eventually rescued by others.
