A woman is taking R. Kelly to court.

In a lawsuit filed in New York City, Faith Rodgers claims her relationship with Kelly began back in 2017, when she was 19. She said she met the R&B singer at a concert in San Antonio and a few months later, he flew her out to New York for another show.

Things reportedly took a turn for the worse after the show when Kelly “bombarded” her hotel room. While there, according to Rodgers, Kelly began forcing himself on her by initiating “unwanted sexual contact,” including “abusive” oral and vaginal sex.

Although Rodgers says the two dated for a year, she claims Kelly was physically, mentally and verbally abusive throughout the entire relationship, and held her captive by locking her in rooms while a female assistant stood guard.

Rodgers also claims she also caught herpes from the singer. As a result, she is suing for sexual battery, false imprisonment and failure to disclose an STD.
