A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her 40-year-old neighbour in Sandy Bay, Clarendon on New Year’s Eve.
The deceased has been identified as Julia Carty, 59, a domestic helper in the parish.
According to reports, around 7:00 p.m., Carty was in her yard, when her neighbour approached her with a knife.
The man then stabbed her multiple times. Carty was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The alleged attacker is now in police custody, as investigations continue into the incident. Its not yet been ascertained if they had any ongoing disputes leading up to the incident.
