Incarcerated dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has been reportedly been transferred from the Horizon Adult Remand Centre to the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre.

According to reports, convicted dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, was recently transferred from the Horizon Adult Remand Centre in Kingston to the maximum security Tower Street correctional facility in downtown Kingston.

The controversial deejay was reportedly removed from the Horizon facility where he had been serving his life sentence for the August 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. Sources say the entertainer was removed under heavy police guard on Tuesday.

No details have yet emerged as to why exactly the entertainer was reportedly transferred, however speculations are high that it may possibly be related to a perceived breach committed at the facility.

The spotlight was recently placed on the entertainer’s continued dominance of the airwaves in Jamaica, despite being incarcerated, by fellow dancehall artiste Flexx, formerly of the group T.O.K.
