Vybz Kartel is still at the University Hospital of the West Indies(UHWI) after arriving earlier this week.
The incarcerated Dancehall superstar was rushed to facility on Monday after complaining of excruciating pains in his side. According to sources, the artiste is now awaiting the result of tests conducted on him and is being treated for a kidney infection.
Vybz Kartel’s reps say authorities are not allowing any visitors and the deejay is under heavy police guard in a private section of the hospital.

The self-proclaimed ‘Worl Boss’ common-law wife Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson and his attorney Tom Tavares-Finson are in contact with prison officials and are getting regular updates on his condition as sources have confirmed that the deejay is currently in stable condition.
This is Kartel’s second time to the hospital since is incarceration, back in July 2015, he visited the doctors at the facility due to a skin inflammation.
Vybz Kartel is serving a life sentence for the murder of former associate Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. Despite being behind bars for nearly six years, his music still dominates the local and international airwaves. The deejay is gearing up for his highly anticipated appeal trial set for February 2018.
