Vybz Kartel is making it clear that he still considers Bounty Killer as his musical father despite their rocky past.

The “Highest Level” deejay recently took to Instagram saluting his longtime mentor after the veteran deejay posted a video clip of them both performing alongside Sizzla at a Champions In Action concert back in 2006.

The interaction saw the two deejays, who have had their differences over the years, show some respect for each other as the Gaza deejay branded his mentor as “Dad” to which the veteran deejay promptly replied “Salute son.”

The move comes as no surprise as the two have been showing mutual respect for each other on social media in recent months. The most recent incident occurred when the veteran deejay took the time out to praise his prodigal son while bashing former protege Mavado.

Bounty Killer Reveals Who Is The Biggest Artiste Out Of Busy Signal, Mavado & Vybz Kartel

Bounty Killer lashed out at Mavado earlier this month calling him “selfish” and ungrateful during a lengthy Instagram rant where he also declared Vybz Kartel as the clear winner in the infamous Gully/Gaza feud.

According to Bounty Killer, Mavado never engaged in the infamous beef to defend him of the alliance as many claimed but rather out of envy for Kartel’s success and popularity at the time.

The move is viewed a positive one by many Dancehall fans who remain hopeful their revived friendship can result in collaborations between the pair who are regarded as two on Dancehall’s biggest superstars ever.
