Vybz Kartel and Shenseea recent controversy over their smash hit single “Loodi” was a publicity stunt according to Dancehall insiders.

Last month Vybz Kartel’s team sent fans into a frenzy when they uploaded the original version of “Loodi” stating that the track was never a collaboration.

According to sources close to the two, the alleged leak of “Loodi” was a publicity stunt influenced by Gaza fans constantly saying Shenseea wasn’t giving Vybz Kartel enough credit for the single. “Things didn’t start out like that but the fans were making a lot of noise and when the original solo version drop it was the biggest topic in dancehall and that just turn up the views,” sources said.

Sources also added that Vybz Kartel had nothing to do with the original version being uploaded YouTube however he requested the immediate removal, “He [Vybz Kartel] wasn’t upset about it or anything like that he just asked his team to take it down,” sources added. “The whole controversy clearly benefits both the boss and Shenseea, it’s a win win anyhow you take.”
