Vybz Kartel is sending out a message to Mavado after he was shot at in Cassava Piece.
Mavado, whose real name is David Brooks, had a close brush with death earlier this month when his vehicle was sprayed with bullets in the St Andrew community. According to reports, the Dancehall entertainer narrowly escaped with his life and immediately ran to the police station to file a report.
A cartoon depicting the incident surfaced online and got the attention of Vybz Kartel who uploaded it on his Instagram page.
“Doooont run,” the incarcerated Dancehall superstar wrote before deleting the post. “Pon a serious not still David [Mavado], be careful breda one #Alliance we a forward from. Everybody claim dem heartless but yuh mus know we no trust people.”
Mavado who is wanted for questioning in relation to the flare-up in violence in his Cassava Piece, St Andrew community is still in the United States.
Earlier this week law enforcement officers have issued a final warning for him to turn himself in.
According to investigators, they were informed by Mavado’s attorney, Tamika Harris, that he is overseas fulfilling a contractual obligation however they were not given a specific time he would return to Jamaica.
The police say they will not sit and wait for the Dancehall entertainer indefinitely.
Head of the St Andrew North Police, Superintendent Glenford Miller, say they are still giving Mavado the opportunity to turn himself in however they will reach out to their law enforcement counterparts in the United States and ask for assistance if necessary.
