Vybz Katel has broken his silence on the viral video allegedly of him playing football.
In the clip which surfaced on social media last week, a man resembling the incarcerated Dancehall superstar can be seen playing a game of football with inmates at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre, formerly known as General Penitentiary (GP).
The Vybz Kartel lookalike is seen shirtless in khaki shorts, blue underpants and rocking shades.
The video immediately caused a heated debate on social media with Dancehall fans divided on if its the real Vybz Kartel or not.
However according to a Vybz Kartel rep the video is definitely not him. The rep close to the ‘Fever’ deejay says Kartel is not a football fan and spends most his prison sentence reading in his cell.
“That video is fake, where are the tattoos?,” the rep asked. “Come on man, even the blind can see that the video is fake and its just come haters trying to clown the ‘Worl Boss’ but that can’t work.”
“Kartel look like him a idlers fi a run up and down and play football? The man always inna him cell a read and hold a medz,” the rep added. Vybz Kartel who also heard about the video being circulated is laughing at the reports and says he doesn’t care because its more free promotion for his name.
