Vybz Kartel has reportedly barred his common-law wife Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson from visiting him at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre.
Kartel recently enjoyed his second family day for the year with new photos of the Dancehall superstar started surfacing online since last week. The ‘Fever’ deejay sent fans into a frenzy when his Instagram account uploaded a bearded photograph which also shows the self-proclaimed ‘Worl Boss’ growing his hair.
Photos of Vybz Kartel with his daughter Adianna, new Gaza associates and two mysterious females also surfaced however none with Shorty. According to sources close to Kartel, the deejay blocked her from visiting him earlier this year following their alleged breakup, “He [Vybz Kartel] has to give the okay each time someone wants to visit him in prison and for some reason, he never gave the ok for Shorty to visit him,” the source said.
Kartel seemingly confirmed breakup rumors back in October when he released a single titled “Don’t Come Back” aimed at Shorty.
“Gyal pack up har things, f**k you / Talk bout me a stale news (ouuu) / Gwan then but don’t come back when you hear Worlboss got juice (ouuu) / Ungrateful b***h tododooo (ouuu) / Adianna and Mommy me choose (ouuu),” Kartel sings in the new banger produced by his Vybz Kartel Muzik label. “Me stop tell girls bout faithful / ‘Cause they will do what they want / But since we broke up I’m so strong / (I got 99 problems but a b***h ain’t one!).”
Vybz Kartel and Shorty share three boys together, Johnson made a promise back in 2014 that she would wait 35-years on the deejay who is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
Kartel has since been granted leave to appeal, a trial is set for July 9, 2018.
