Vybz Kartel’s legal team say that trial judge Lennox Campbell unfairly mentioned a police report made by Vanessa Bling, formerly known as Gaza Slim during the murder trial.
According to Valrie Neita Robertson, the deejay’s lead attorney, her client was prejudiced by the judge’s decision to mention an unrelated police report which was filed by Vanessa Saddler, aka Gaza Slim.
The attorney argued that the evidence should not have been allowed in the trial as it had no relevance to the matter before the court.
Cops say the “Independent Ladies” singer and Vybz Kartel conspired to derail their investigations into the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams by filing a police report claiming she was robbed by the victim after his death.

Gaza Slim, who has since changed her stage name to Vanessa Bling, was charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The case was later dropped but remains possible to be revisited by the director of public prosecutions (DPP) at any time.
Vybz Kartel and his three co-accused Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John are currently trying to overturn their life sentences for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams in the Court Of Appeal.
