Vybz Kartel is shutting down reports of a collaboration with Ishawna.
Last week rumors surfaced that the incarcerated Dancehall superstar would be teaming up with the former Downsound records singer for another ‘Freaky Gyal’ song.
According to sources close to the ‘Fever’ deejay, he doesn’t have any intentions of doing a single with Ishawna right now.
“I personally asked Addi (Vybz Kartel) about it and he flat out said no, so I don’t know where this rumor came from,” sources said. “I don’t know if they will ever collaborate in the future, but as of now, there is no such collaboration in the works. Keep the boss name off that Equal Rights something.”
Last week Bounty Killer blasted both Ishawna and Vybz Kartel for their freaky lyrics in Dancehall while performing in Portland.
“Mi slaughter Kartel fi sing bout “Freaky Gal,” when Gage come sing bout “Dung Inna Throat” mi murder him too,” a furious Killer told patrons. “When Dutty Alkaline come talk bout “Battywash” mi done dem tuh! suh how Ishawna think she ago talks bout Bumpa pan farid?…… No Bumpa pan badman farid,” Killer said.
