There has been an outpouring of tributes for upcoming recording artiste, France Nooks, who was stabbed to death by taxi operator during a dispute allegedly over JMD $100 in Kingston last week.
The 25-year-old died while undergoing treatment after he ran to the Andrews Memorial Hospital following the incident.
Speaking on the incident, his aunt, artiste manager and booking agent Sharon Burke, took to social media to share that the tragedy could have easily been avoided.
“Show me a man who was more humble grateful and driven.i lost my nephew while in a $100 taxi on hope road when the driver decided he-wanted $200 instead.Knife straight to the heart of a hard working optimistic 25year old,” she wrote.
“Got the call at4:12 pm yesterday reached Andrews around 4:45 was advised by dr it went straight to the heart. We were advised they could not operate, it was too severe he needed to be moved. We had been begging Andrews to be transferred from when. Around 45 mins later ambulance reaches, now we are told he won’t make it. Took them another 40 mins for dr to arrive who could operate. This young man future was looking dull. Went and got a top Cardiologist to advise. They weren’t having it.”
“He couldn’t go in same way they wouldn’t let us use our ambulance to move him 2hours before. 7:40 France Nooks was pronounced dead for $100 and lack of efficiency at Andrews Memorial Hospital. He had so many projects doing that would impact his family as he was family oriented. He deserves to be breathing today to fulfill his calling Franz you did a wonderful song and that I am happy for,. You will be forever in my heart , the Life of a man cost $100.00, RIP Franz Aunty Sharon will always love you. I wish I was A Doctor for one hour, I wish I could have you here at the office today like I had you yesterday. Little did I know when you walked out of the office yesterday it was the last time, Bless your little soul, I am Mad, I am angry , but give thanks for the time you were here. #FranceNooks ????????????,” Burke added.
She later shared another post and wrote, “An angel came in my life , surrounded me with lots and lots and lots of positive energy and love and then disappeared , I won’t let you go unrecognized I promise!!!! R.I.P #FranceNooks, we love you !!!!”
