Gothic Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta is planning to take legal action against the government of Jamaica if their recent stint affect his bookings.
Last week a directive was issued for the prominent Montego-bay-based deejay to surrender himself to the Elletson Road Police Station at 16 Lower Elletson Road, before July 4 (Monday).
Cops say the ‘Uncle Demond’ deejay was wanted for questioning in relation to a shooting incident which took place on Saunders Avenue, Kingston 2, Jamaica.

However according to Tommy Lee Sparta, real name Leroy Junior Russell’s attorney, Earnest Smith the artiste went into the police station on Monday however he was not questioned in relation to the reported shooting incident.
Ernest Smith has since labelled the police as ‘irresponsible’ after listing his client as a person of interest in relation to the shooting incident. Smith also added that promoters are now contemplating to cancel shows they booked the deejay for because he is seen in the eyes of Jamaicans as a criminal.
“I’m awaiting confirmation as to whether or not any cancellation has occurred because if any cancellation whatsoever occurs, we are going to sue the Government,” He said.
According to Smith, the police actions were defamatory and a blatant disregard for Tommy Lee’s constitutional rights. He added that someone is clearly trying to damage the Montego-bay deejay’s career.
