Female Dancehall artiste Tifa has called on the Jamaican government to do more to highlight and support Reggae/Dancehall music in Jamaica.
The “Big Bumpa” deejay made the remarks during a recent interview with The Star stating that the Jamaican government needs to do more to support its own culture.
The “Big Bumper” deejay gave credit to the Jamaican government for their continued observance of “Reggae Month,” which began in 2008 and is celebrated in February in conjunction with Black History Month, but feels more can be done.

According to the Dancehall diva, one specific time per year is not sufficient to properly celebrate the massive contributions of our music on Jamaican culture. She went on to point out the enormous influence Jamaican music has amassed worldwide, influencing countless genres of music.
