A third man has now emerged as another ‘hero’ in the amazing rescue of 12-year-old Renaldo Reynolds, who was gushed away by the surging waters in a Trench Town gully last weekend.

The 19-year-old man, Kenroy ‘Roger’ Martin has declared that he is not seeking public recognition for his valiant efforts, instead, he would greatly appreciate a job opportunity.

The unemployed man says he would love the opportunity to work as a lifeguard in a hotel, as deep sea diving skills allowed him to save numerous persons in the past.

Martin and another man, Alphanso ‘Vivian’ Coombs, who are both Trench Town residents reportedly came to the assistance of Tremayn Brown who selflessly dived into the rushing waters of the Trench Town gully to save the 12-year-old boy.

According to Martin, he was alerted to the situation while sitting at a bar and overhearing the commotion outside. He says he was encouraged to help by other residents who knew of his diving skills.

Martin and Coombs were successfully able to assist Brown and the child from the murky waters after the later was able to grab hold of a tree branch in the gully until they could catch up to them.

The young man admits he has since been hailed by the boy’s father and offered a ‘drink,’ but he is not seeking any handout outstand instead he would just love to be granted an opportunity to put his talents to use.
