The man behind the viral ‘Macaroni’ meme has broken his silence.

According to sources close to the now-famous bus driver, he is very much aware of the current wave on social media however he is now here for it.

A neighbour of ‘Macaroni’ said, he is not pleased of the titled that has been given to him by Jamaicans and wishes it could stop, “He really hates the new ‘weh Macaroni aguh’ trend that is online now and wants it to end real soon.”

‘Macaroni’ became popular in November of last year after a video surfaced online which saw a coaster bus driving into flood waters in St Thomas. The video instantly went viral due to the commentary as residents asked ‘weh Macaroni aguh…. no a cyaa Macaroni’ dat!’.

While Macaroni confirmed that he is the owner of the bus, he made it clear that he was not the one driving during the incident, “Yes is my bus, but a never mi did a drive it suh these young people making fun of me doesn’t make any sense,” he said. “If you watch the original video you can hear big mama saying its not me and she’s going to call me, so how could i be the one driving?.”
