A juvenile was arrested in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and six rounds of ammunition in Kingston on Thursday.
According to the Denham Town police, about 5:30 pm, lawmen were conducting an operation aimed at curtailing street crimes such as extortion and robberies when the teenager was accosted and searched. A Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol loaded with six 9mm rounds of ammunition was taken from him.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
