A St Thomas teacher was arrested and charged with having sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old on Tuesday.
According the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA), the man, who teaches the complainant, is accused of convincing the child to engage him in sexual activities on several occasions.
He is scheduled to appear before the St Thomas Parish Court on Wednesday, January 24 to answer to the charges.
The teacher’s name is currently being withheld pending further investigations.
