Sting and Shaggy’s new project “44 /876” has secured the number one spot of the Billboard Reggae Album Chart.

The 12-song project released on April 21 has already sold 10,227 copies making it the first album in two years with double-digit numbers in opening week.

“44/876” features collaborations with a slew of local entertainers including Sly & Robbie, Aidonia, Morgan Heritage and Agent Sasco.

The album also debuted at number one in Germany, Poland, Australia, and entered the UK national chart at number nine last Friday.

Speaking on their recent success, Sting and Shaggy they are thankful for the support from fans so far. The pair added that despite dominating the charts that is not their focused as they are having fun and doing what they love.

Meanwhile, Sting and Shaggy are set to go on tour in June after performing at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year and last month at Queen Elizabeth II’s 92nd birthday celebration.
